No no, thank YOU for your enlightening article on Plotbunnies.

Used to celebrate fandom all by myself, in a snug, private closet; having recently 'come out', I was not familiar with this creature.
Seems though, now I have a better understanding of what plotbunnies are and how to milk 'em, they shun me like the plague and I am stuck with a bunch of guinea pigs. Or guineafics. Whatever.

Yeah, the research to Plotbunnies came to life in the Dutch GW fandom of ~Sherrie-Omnicat we're friends for a long time and sometimes when it comes to these bunnies, temporarily insane

Ooooh... a new species of Plotbunny! The guineapig-bunny... Tell me more about him! what does it do, how do you capture it, how does it infect you?

Momentarily most of my bunnies are hybernating, but they'll come around

some day...

Je zegt "Dutch GW fandom"... dan schakel ik even om naar m'n moerstaal.

Het blijkt dat er toch veel meer Nederlandse GW-fans zijn dan ik altijd dacht -- Omnicat 'weet' ik van Livejournal.
Maar hallo! Aangenaam!

Plotbunnies ben ik zelf nooit in het wild tegengekomen, wat betekent dat ik zelf ideeën moet bedenken... Stel je het schrijven van verhalen in zo'n geval voor als het testen van een product (zelfgewrocht plot) of bestanddeel (bijv. karaktereigenschap of zelfs maar een one-liner) in een laboratorium... met proefkonijnen (guinea pigs).

Wordt de test volledig uitgevoerd en afgerond, dan heb je een guinea fic -- een verhaal dat er eigenlijk niet had moeten zijn, omdat er geen echte inspiratie was. Of zo.
